Local Game Data

Fungi Forest can be played offline without a game account or purchase. Forest progress, recovery copies and settings are stored on your device. The game does not request location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access. It has no developer-operated analytics service, automatic support upload, Play Games sign-in or developer cloud-save service.

Advertising And Purchases

Where advertising and purchases are enabled, the game uses Google Play Billing, Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. Some prelaunch versions have advertising and purchasing switched off. This policy covers the features where available; it does not mean every version offers them.

Eligible free players may see an occasional ad at a natural break after a completed colony level-up, and may choose an optional ad to double an eligible away reward or daily gift. The ordinary daily gift is available without watching an ad. An earned optional-ad bonus adds one equal amount to the frozen base reward; an unavailable or dismissed ad does not remove the ordinary reward.

The game requests non-personalized ads with Google's G maximum ad-content rating. Advertising is not served when the local monetization age choice is unknown or under 16. The age choice is stored locally; no date of birth is stored. This coarse choice is an ad-eligibility safeguard, not a universal legal age threshold or permission to process a child's information. Selecting 16+ does not by itself permit ads: ownership, current privacy choices and ad availability must still allow them. Ad-content and non-personalization controls do not mean ads require no data processing or privacy choices.

Google documents that its Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares IP addresses, app/ad interactions, performance and diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. An IP address can indicate approximate location. The app removes Android's advertising-ID permission; other SDK identifiers and capabilities can still be present. Google documents TLS encryption in transit for its advertising SDK data. Google handles its records under its own terms and privacy policy; this policy does not claim an exhaustive inventory of Google's SDK data or a measured absence of network traffic.

Google's consent/privacy tools handle available advertising privacy choices. Eligible unpaid players have consent information refreshed after an ownership check when the app resumes; any required form waits for a suitable menu or explicit ad/privacy entry. Ads remain unavailable until the current consent checks permit them. You can open Ad privacy choices in Settings > Ads & privacy to review available choices. This action requires device authentication. These Google tools can communicate with Google's services; the local age choice does not itself grant consent.

The one-time Upgrade has no subscription and removes all in-game ads. It automatically adds one equal bonus to eligible away earnings and daily gifts, for twice the base amount once. The price shown comes from Google Play for your offer and region. Google Play processes the purchase and payment information; Orbital Scar Studios does not receive card details. The app receives purchase/ownership information, checks signed receipts, and stores a receipt and signature locally so a verified purchase can remain active offline. Restore purchase in Settings > Upgrades & purchases checks Google Play ownership. A successful ownership check can remove a refunded or revoked entitlement; an offline cached entitlement can remain active until that check succeeds. There is no developer receipt-verification server or real-time refund-notification service. Purchase receipts and the local monetization age choice are excluded from forest export and the app-controlled backup lists.

Google Play-distributed versions may also include Google's licensing and installer-protection checks. These are separate from forest saving, free gifts and the optional Upgrade. An unrecognized installation may be directed to the game's Play listing, and periodic installer checks can require a connection after a prolonged offline period. Google handles these services under its privacy policy.

Backup, Device Transfer And Export

Android encrypted backup or device transfer may copy only the primary forest save and Save Shield recovery copy through your Android backup or transfer facilities. Cloud backup requires Android encryption capabilities. Android/provider backup and transfer depend on those services; they are not guaranteed cross-device game-account synchronization. Notification and vision preferences, monetization age choices and purchase receipts are excluded from the app-controlled backup lists.

In Settings > Save & restore, an adult can choose Export game save or Restore game save after device authentication. Restore validates the document and asks before replacing gameplay progress. Export writes gameplay and saved in-game options to a document location selected through Android. That location may be on your device or with a cloud document provider; the provider handles the document under its own terms and privacy practices. Exports exclude local notification and vision preferences, monetization age choices and purchase receipts. The game does not upload your forest to an Orbital Scar Studios server. Purchase restoration is separate and uses Google Play.

Optional Reminders

Forest Friend reminders and daily-gift reminders use local Android alarms and notifications. Daily-gift reminders are off by default and can be changed in Settings > Notifications. Android notification permission is requested when enabling optional reminders where required. You may decline permission, disable reminders or block notifications in Android settings.

Gift reminders read saved availability locally, without awarding a gift or uploading forest information. Android may delay delivery to save battery. Reminder preferences stay on this device and are excluded from forest export and the forest-only backup lists.

Parent Controls And Support

You can read Privacy & permissions policy in Settings > Ads & privacy and view version/help information in Settings > Help & about without device authentication. Android's device screen-lock authentication is required for protected actions: age-choice changes, Ad privacy choices, reminder settings, Export game save, Restore game save, purchases and purchase restoration, and opening support email or Google Play. The app does not store a separate parent PIN or date of birth. Device authentication protects access; it is not verified parental consent to collect children's information. Gameplay and ordinary free gifts remain available without device authentication.

In Settings > Help & about, Contact support / share an idea opens an email app addressed to OrbitalScarStudios@gmail.com after device authentication and a separate confirmation. The app supplies the address and a generic subject only: no message body, save, device information, logs or attachments are added. Fungi Forest does not send or read your email. You decide what to write and whether to send. Please omit children's personal information.

If you send an email, our support inbox receives your sender address and the content you provide. We use support enquiries to respond to and resolve them, and retain them only as long as needed for that purpose. You may ask us to delete support correspondence held by Orbital Scar Studios by emailing OrbitalScarStudios@gmail.com. This does not delete local saves, Android backups, exported documents or data held by Google or another provider; use the relevant device, backup, document or provider controls for those copies. No fixed retention period is claimed. External email, Google Play and document providers handle information under their own terms.

Retention And Deletion

Local forest saves and recovery copies persist in app storage without a fixed app-defined expiry. An in-game fresh start/reset is not deletion of every recovery copy or all app data. Android app-data controls, backup copies and exported documents are separate: deleting one does not necessarily delete the others. Exports remain under your/provider control. We do not assert a fixed retention period for Google's or a chosen provider's records. There is no developer game-account creation or account-deletion service.
